Abstract In this paper, Zinc oxide nanoparticles having wurtzite crystalline structure are prepared. The temperature, used for the synthesis affects the morphology and particle size. The synthesized nanoparticles are characterized by X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Diffused reflectance UV-visible spectroscopy (DRS). As the temperature is increased from room temperature to 800C, keeping the concentration of the base viz sodium hydroxide at 2M, the particle size increases from 20 nm to 40 nm, With change in reaction temperature of 800C. The effect of temperature precursor is studied for different temperature condition for syntheses ZnO nanoparticles. This paper is an attempt to give the information about temperature as a precursor to be used, for synthesis of the ZnO nanoparticles with enhanced antibacterial property for suitable biomedical application.
