A series of Titania nanoparticles has been synthesized via sol- gel method using titanium tetraisopropoxide as a precursor. The structure and morphology of Nano TiO2 are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The effect of calcinations temperature on phase transformation of nano TiO2 ( Anatase) is determined by XRD. The grain size of nano TiO2 particle are found to be 8-14 nm. The thermal stability is analyzed by TG-DTA. Nano TiO2 is stable upto 4000C by controlling the acidity and the molar ratio of starting materials.
Key words: Titania, sol- gel, Anatase, X-ray diffraction, SEM.
