In line with the overall mission of the Directorate-General Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission (EC), the Institute for Energy and Transport (IET) provides scientific and technological
contributions to different stages of European energy and transport policy-making on issues related to technology innovation, environmental protection, energy security, and sustainable development where a European perspective and independence of commercial and national interests are essential.
This position is in the Cleaner Energy Unit (CEU) of IET.


The project concerns mainly the testing of fuel cells and electrolysers including diagnostics for
performance assessment and comprises specifically,

- To execute of testing of fuel cells and/or electrolyser cells at different test conditions applying testing procedures and test protocols using test facilities of the Institute,

- To study effects of contaminants and electrode kinetics,
- Regular reporting of research results especially in peer-reviewed scientific publications.
- Regular scanning of the scientific and technical literature for use in both experimental work and reporting of results.
