A one-year computational-theoretical postdoc position concerning nanopolaritonics is open beginning July 2014 at CNRS / University of Bordeaux (France), in a collaboration between Renaud Vallee from CNRS and Daniel Neuhauser from UCLA.
The challenging project will investigate ways of influencing light propagation on the nanoscale through molecular reorientation. The postdoc will be in charge of developing electromagnetic propagation and quantum molecular motion codes that will be coupled together.
The subject will first be treated from a semi-classical perspective, and the method will potentially be expanded to a full quantum approach. The postdoc will interact regularly with experimentalists.
An extensive background in code development in either physics or chemistry is preferred.
