Scientific Position in Nanomedicine.

Midatech Ltd, based on the outskirts of Oxford, UK, is a global leader and centre of competence in the emerging field of nanomedicine.  Its innovative, patented glycan-coated gold nanoparticle (GNP) platform and the company’s drug development programmes are at the forefront of nanoscience and nanotechnology-based drug delivery. The company's primary research areas include metabolic diseases, oncology and vaccines. Its first product, nano-formulated transbuccal insulin, has entered clinical development, successfully completed the First-in-Human trial, and is heading to Phase IIa clinical trials.

Biochemist
Midatech is currently seeking an applicant with a scientific background and with laboratory experience to work in a small research lab located in the Centre of Innovation and Enterprise, Begbroke Science Park, near Oxford.  The role includes multiple research projects requiring individual responsibility.  The applicant is expected to be a capable, motivated, independent worker with foresight, initiative, flexibility, creativity and excellent communication skills.  Applicants should have a PhD with a background in Biochemistry or related discipline.  Candidates with postdoctoral research experience will also be considered.
