Postdoctoral Research Associate – Nanosensor Design For Neurobiology We funded by DARPA and NIH to develop tools and techniques for imaging neurotransmitters dynamics at synapses using reversible fluorescent nanosensors. This project will integrate techniques from high-speed microscopy, electrophysiology, nanotechnology, and cell biology. We are looking for motivated candidates to fill a postdoctoral research associate position on this project. A competitive candidate should have a strong track record of research in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or neurobiology. Our group is multi-disciplinary and collaborative, and candidates who work well on a team will be given preference.

Qualifications & essential functions: PhD degree in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical sciences, or a related field. Expertise in at least two of the three areas:
- Neurobiology/electrophysiology
- Nanomaterial fabrication and characterization
- Optical microscopy and biophysics

Interested applicants should send a cover letter and CV to clarklab@neu.edu . References will be requested from applicants after screening.
