Grade 7: £30,434 - £37,394 p.a.

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the research group of Nano Science and Technology at the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. The post is funded by the ERC Advanced Grant and is available for up to 3 years, starting as soon as possible.

The ERC Advanced Grant funded project “Universal Framework for Charge Transport in Quantum Dot Systems (UniQDS)” is to aim a comprehensive and fundamental understanding of underlying physics accounting for carrier dynamics, charge transport, and light-matter interaction in various QD systems and for the creation of any real devices with new functionality. The work will be focused on QD charge transport modelling/simulation. The work also requires studying computational approaches for materials and applications.

You will have a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related subject with sufficient specialist knowledge in computation approaches for materials and applications. Expertise in electronic/charge transport modelling/simulation and meso-scale/multi-scale modelling/simulation are essential. Good communication skills, written and verbal, are also required.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Jong Min Kim: jong.kim@eng.ox.ac.uk.
