Our research focuses on developing ultra-sensitive biosensors for diagnostic and drug-screening purposes. The biosensors are peptide-based nanowires, or based on G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and nucleic acids (DNA/RNA). This is an opportunity to participate in multi-disciplinary research spanning molecular biology, chemistry, engineering, micro-/nanotechnology and biodevices. The primary responsibility of this position includes synthesizing suitable and chemically well-defined peptide nanowires structures. These nanowire structures are used for developing a platform to detect and quantify clinically relevant biomolecules.
