Silicon nanowire platform for biodetection technology


Position and Requirements
We are looking for a postdoc scientist to develop the technology platform for
silicon and germanium nanowire based biological assays. The responsibility
of the postdoc covers two main areas. First one is related to the design and
optimization of the lab on a chip system, containing nanowires based
sensors array. The second part represents the building of the demonstrator,
capable of multiparallel detection of the bioanalyte in solution, and a
software development. We aim at attracting the best talent in the respective
research fields and expect the following: a very good PhD degree in physics,
chemistry, material sciences or related: excellent skills in microfabrication,
electrical device characterization, and programming; outstanding academic
performance in previous studies and some research experience; ability to
work in international teams; inter- and multidisciplinary thinking; high
motivation and interest to join one of the most ambitious interdisciplinary
research clusters; an integrative and cooperative personality with excellent
communication and social skills; fluency in English - written and oral.
