The group of Dr. Alessandro Romito, located at the “Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems” at the Physics Department, Freie Universitaet Berlin, invites international applications for a postdoc position which is part of his DFG funded project “Weak Measurements of Quantum Effects in Electronic Nano-Devices”: The postdoctoral position is intended for candidates with an excellent PhD in Physics and fluency in English. Exceptional expertise in theoretical solid state physics and quantum information theory as well as in quantum dynamics of many-particles systems is welcome.
The postdoctoral scholar will be appointed for a period of two years, starting on November 1st, 2013. The position will be paid according to “E 13 TV-L FU” (100%) and includes a minimal teaching component (no knowledge of German required).
Applications including a CV and a statement of research experience and interests should be sent to Alessandro Romito, alessandro.romito@fu-berlin.de

. Candidates should also arrange for two letters of recommendation sent by the referees to the same address. All application materials should arrive until October 9th, 2013 to receive full consideration. For further information, see

The Freie Universitaet Berlin belongs to the scientific top addresses. The postdoc will be fully part of the “The Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems” at the Physics Department, Freie Universitaet Berlin. The Center provides an excellent scientific environment with various groups working on related topics, a number of postdocs and an intense scientific activity the postdoc can take advantage of. The Center's focus is on theoretical quantum condensed matter physics in the broadest sense.
