Research in the field of surface science. In particular, growth and characterization of epitaxial thin films as well as low dimensional structures on surfaces. In-situ characterization with var-ious surface-sensitive analyzing methods (RHEED, SPA-LEED, AES, STM/AFM) and mag-neto-optic spectroscopy. Independent submission of proposals to financial supporters such as Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft is expected. Participation in the teaching duties at the physics department. Opportunity for a “Habilitation” will be provided.
requirements:
qualified Ph.D. in physics
desirable qualifications:
Experience in the field of molecular-beam epitaxy, growth and analysis of epitaxial thin films and/or low-dimensional structures on surfaces. Readiness to attract funds. Furthermore de-sired are capability of teamwork, endurance, and enthusiasm for new ideas.
