A two year postdoc position is available at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Braga, Portugal to carry out electron microscopic and spectroscopic investigations of core-shell/filled nanotubes employing aberration corrected STEM. The investigations will be carried out using the aberration corrected microscopes employing both STEM/TEM imaging as well as spectroscopic analysis (EELS, EFTEM and EDS). Experience of having worked with aberration corrected electron microscopes will be strongly considered. Further knowledge of having worked with focus series acquisition/reconstruction as well as carrying out STEM/TEM simulation and generating structural models using standard softwares will be a plus.
