We are looking for Postdoc fellow to join our siRNA/drug delivery- molecular biology research team in the University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Pharmacy. The fellow would be responsible for design, development, and evaluation of newer siRNA /therapeutic agents/nanotechnology based systems of for treatment of disorders such as cancer and pulmonary disorders. The fellow will also be responsible performing molecular assays. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in the field of science/biotechnology/pharmaceutical sciences/polymeric nanomaterials/polymer science. The post-Ph.D experiences at a research institute or a pharmaceutical industry will be preferred. A strong background in basic biology, targeted nanotechnology, siRNA/drug delivery systems, and molecular biology with a good publication record is highly preferred. The fellow candidate should be highly motivated, and capable of working as a team with good interpersonal skill.
Our laboratory provides strong support for the development of independent research projects and extensive research experience. Our laboratory’s research area is focused in the area of targeted nanotechnology based drug/siRNA delivery systems, chemotherapeutics, pulmonary disorders and molecular biology.
