Plasmonic Nanooptics (Tuebingen, Germany)

The main target of this project is to study linear and non-linear optical properties of plasmonic nanostructures. Confocal optical microscopy, scanning near-field optical microscopy and dark-field optical microscopy are the main tools for this project. The research topics are 1) Optical characterization of plasmonic nanostructures of different shape and materials. 2) Investigating non-linear optical behavior (e.g. second harmonic generation and two-photon photoluminescence) of plasmonic structures under ultrafast laser excitation.
We are looking for candidate who has the following experience:
1)      University study in Physics, or Chemistry, or Engineer.
2)      Basic knowledge about optical spectroscopy and microscopy
3)      Highly motivated
The position will start from 1st Feb. 2013 and will last for three years.
