The Ph.D. Position in Chemistry (Inorganic/Physical), at Center for Nano and Material Sciences, Jain University, Bangalore, India

The research is concerned with production of hydrogen through the coupling of dehydrogenation and hydrogenation for the synthesis of Ketone and Alcohol over different promoters supported on basic oxide catalysts. Candidates should have a strong background in Inorganic/Physical chemistry and knowledge on heterogeneous Catalysis.

Candidates must be trained in preparation of catalysts and catalytic reaction and characterization of the catalysts (Analysis technique: GC, GCMS, Characterizations: XRD, BET surface, SEM, TEM, TPR etc,).
