Ph.D position is available within the network of the EC Initial Training Networks (ITN) project “VitriMetTech” at the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INP), Grenoble, France.
The research topic is on the controlled generation of micro- and nano-porous structures by phase decomposition for example in a A-B system followed by removal of the A-rich or B-rich zones. Alternatively for certain systems, it is possible to selectively oxidize one type of zones to generate supported catalysts at nanoscales.
This thesis proposes to control nanostructure developments by the combination of experimental methods, analytical thermodynamic expressions and CALPHAD methods.
Salary and other cash benefits are about 2600 € per month.
