On December 2, the Federation of Swiss Unions (SGB) organised a seminar on nanomaterials at which Helmut Elbert of the Innovation Society held a presentation on the economic potential of nanotechnologies. He also presented the SimplyNano 1® experimental kit.
The SGB considers nanotechnology to be eligible for funding – if and when measures are taken to confine the risks. Among other provisions, the SGB claims more frequent inspections by the Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund (SUVA) and an extension of the statute of limitation.
