Intergerated PhD and Ph.D student position opens

Integrated PhD & PhD student position in the fields of Energy conversion & Storage @ Nanomaterials and System Laboratory (NMSL)

Nanomaterials and System Laboratory group at the Jeju National University (South Korea) has open PhD student positions. The key research aim of NMSL is developing innovative energy harvesting devices (Triboelectric, Piezoelectric Nanogenerators and its Self-powered applications) and energy storage devices (Super capacitors, Hybrid super capacitors and Self charging super capacitor) by improving the efficiency and success of early stage integration. Also we are offering a highly interdisciplinary Ph.D position on the field of nanopaints (energy harvesting paints) and nano biosensors (Self-powered bio sensors).  The main goal is to offer a highly stimulating research environment with excellent infrastructure and broad interdisciplinary surrounding, to a well qualified, highly motivated and dynamic graduate student who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career, as well as to obtain a doctoral degree.

Requirements:

  1. 1.      Integrated Ph.D
  • You must hold a Bachelors degree from a university with top marks.
  • Should have a strong background in Physics, material science, electronics or related discipline and a strong interest in science.
  • Excellent communication skills and good knowledge in English (oral and written) are required.
  1. 2.      Ph.D
  • You must hold a Master degree from a university with top marks.
  • With a strong experimental research background and interest in Energy conversion & Storage.
  • Interdisciplinary mindset and high motivation.
  • Candidates must prove a strong attitude towards experimental and simulation studies.
  • Excellent communication skills and good knowledge in English (oral and written) are required.

Scholarship benefits:

All admission and tuition fees are waived and monthly allowance of 750,000 KRW to 1,100,000 KRW will be provided to the student.
