A fully funded 3-year PhD studentship is now available for application at the Department of Chemistry, University of Leicester, UK.
You will join in an internationally leading research group, with focus on Physical Chemistry and NanoChemistry. In our group the research is based on superfluid helium droplets, to which molecules/atoms are added and aggregate into nanoparticles. High degree of control over the growth can be obtained, and core-shell nanoparticles can be readily formed by the sequential addition of different types of materials to the droplets. Currently, our research involves both nanoparticles and nanowires.
