The Maastricht University is searching for a Facility Manager for its Nanoscopy division of the Multimodal Molecular Imaging institute (M4I).

Overall Purpose of the Job

The Facility Manager supervises the service activities of the lab, participates in the daily lab and microscopy work, and reports to the director of the Nanoscopy division.

Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities or Duties

1. Organizing and providing the highest quality service.
2. Enabling optimal use of the instruments.
3. Developing new methods to enable new biological applications such as large volume Serial Block Face Scanning Electron Microscopy, high throughput EM, cryo-PALM, improved CLEM techniques, or new data analysis methods.
4. Being scientifically embedded within the Nanoscopy division and user groups.
5. Supervision of research support staff.
