Doctoral Student and PostDoc Positions in Nanotechnology

Doctoral Student and PostDoc Positions in Nanotechnology

We are looking for three employees to fill one Doctoral Student and two PostDoc Positions in the Biohybrid Materials Group (Prof. Mauri Kostiainen). Our laboratory is situated on the main campus of Aalto University in Otaniemi within the Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Technology and we collaborate extensively with the Department of Applied Physics.

We offer a multidisciplinary research environment at the forefront of nanoscience, newly renovated laboratory space and excellent equipment pool. Salary is based on the university salary scheme.

The positions are situated fully/partly within the Finnish Academy Center of Excellence (CoE) on Molecular Engineering of Biosynthetic Hybrid Materials (2014-2019) headed by Academy Professor Olli Ikkala. Other major partners include the groups of Prof. M. Linder (Biomolecular Materials), Prof. J. Laine (Forest Products Surface Chemistry) and M. Penttilä (VTT Biotechnology). As a successful applicant you should be highly motivated in experimental science and have a background in chemistry, biosciences, physics or a closely related field.
