Submission deadline: 08/15/2014

Scope and purposes

The present special issue “Energy harvesting nanomaterials” is dedicated to understand innovative ideas in energy harvesting nanomaterials like solar cells, supercapacitors, Li-ion batteries and redox flow batteries. The main aim of this special issue is to search new ideas and understand basic science for the development in current energy technologies that have the capability to change the current energy crisis. Design and development of nanomaterials, its synthesis, and device fabrications will play an important role will also be covered in this special issue.

Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:
• Dye sensitized solar cells: New approaches
• Quantum dot sensitized solar cells
• Cu2ZnSnS4 based solar cell
• Perovskite solar cells
• Plasmonic solar cells
• Li-ion batteries, redox flow batteries, supercapacitors
• Energy nanomaterials: synthesis, characterization and applications
