to Customers, in my capacity of coordinator of a European Research Project of Nanotoxicity called DIPNA (www.dipna.eu), I am asked to develop an in-field evaluation of possible environmental pollution in working places of nanotechnological laboratories or enterprises. To this aim we offer a free-of-charge evaluation of possible working site micro- and nano-pollution in some nanotech labs that synthesize or manage dry nanoparticles. In the case of “wet” NPs from colloidal preparations we estimated no pollution. If you are interested in knowing if in some sections of your laboratory there is a nanodispersion, you can request from me the kit for a one-day measure. The passive sensors we provide allow to collect the pollution. Those can be analyzed with a Field Emission Gun-Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope equipped with a Energy Dispersive Spectrometer. The pollution will be evaluated in morphology, size and chemical composition within 15 days. The results will be sent back to you and discussed with you privately, in order to verify their correctness and their meaning. Therefore, collected data will not be made public in compliance with the current laws and/or regulation in matter of: - protection of industrial property and IPRs; - protection of trademark and other industrial or commercial brands; - personal privacy; - unfair competition and/or unfair trade practice; - defamation and/or libel concerning persons, products and trademarks; For the project we need only to know the type of processing you use to obtain dry nanoparticles and the map of the sensors you placed in your lab. This offer is limited in time (the dead-line is next November) and in number (max 50 investigations). The information must be addressed to info@dipna.eu Are you interested in NANOPATHOLOGIES? www.nanopathology.it www.worldscibooks.com/nanosci/v001.html Regards Antonietta Gatti Laboratory of Biomaterials University of Modena and Reggio Emilia Modena Italy
