Why Properties changed when we go in Nano region?

Can You discuss the resons with scientific reasons why matter start behaving differently at nano region.Anyone?

yaa its right that as surface to volume ratio change the properties of materials change, but as we go in bulk the properties become constant why?

Hi! As far as I know, nano materials have enhanced surface area, which can greatly enhance the property of a material. Also, quantum mechanics come into play when the size of the object scales down drastically.
