OK - I just joined...As well as an interest in nanosolders we also run several global technology networks:http://www.tinplategroup.com/http://www.soldertec.com/for example... so I am always interested in new tools and ways to bring people together..Videos and webinars may be a way forward I think - email/web is a little too easy for busy people to ignore, but face-to-face is much better. We need to learn to use webcams - Skype/MSN etc - to get more interaction but most of the people I deal with are technical executives or senior management and would consider this inappropriate, just too hard or perhaps too intrusive. We need a culture change and maybe its the younger Facebook generation that we have to wait for.

  • Time zones - another challenge for technology networking... what solutions are there? Haven't seen the chat room yet - will try to take a look ...
  • Thanks! Maybe we can have you as an invited guest at the chat room so you can give us a talk about your work or the importance of new technology and social networks or whatever you want to talk. Interested? The only problem is going to be the time zones. Most of the membership are from Europe or Asia and they work while we in the other side of the planet are sleeping.
  • I would like to know too....

Maybe I'll take a look around the web in a coffee break.
  • Hi:
Thanks for your post. Do you think there is a way to bring some webinars to our group without killing the piggy bank?
  • thanks for your first blogpost
