U.S. Scientists learn molecular level levitation

The world of nano science and nano technology is just wonderful with intense research going on to produce high-quality nano machines.U.S.Scientist Frederico capasso of Harward University and his team have detected and measured a strange force of quantum mechanics coming into play when certain combinations of molecules are arranged leading to repulsion between molecules which holds them apart. This holding aprt of molecules can be used to levitate molecules to make friciton-free nono-parts for tiny machines. As the molecules are held apart in the parts the friciton that hinders motion that causes wear and tear is absent and an efficient nao\no-machine with longer life is created. The U.S. team has not levitated nano-molecules so far. But they know how to do it.The technology will make nano machines for surgery, manufacturing food and fuel and boosting computer speed.Frederico capasso's findings stem from his earlier research at Bell Labs for developing Micro Electromechanical Systems(MEMS) the technology used in air bag sensors to measure deceleration of cars. The findings are reported in the journal NATURE
