Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT (www.iit.it) is opening a fellowship position in the Nanochemistry Department in the framework of Caroplo-sponsored Green Project to develop approaches for the synthesis of novel materials and manage their comprehensive characterization with subsequent application in photovoltaics.

IIT, with its headquarters in Genova, Italy, is a non-profit institution with the primary goal of creating and disseminating scientific knowledge and strengthening Italy’s technological competitiveness. The institute offers state-of-the-art equipment and a top-level interdisciplinary research environment focused on robotics and computer vision, neuroscience, drug discovery, as well as nanoscience and technology.

The Nanochemistry Department, headed by director Liberato Manna, is active in the latter domain, developing a broad range of nanomaterials. Beside materials synthesis, our teams target applications in catalysis, health care (cancer therapy, targeted drug release), photonics (light emission and modulation) and energy harvesting and storage.
