In this new situation that many of us refers as a global economy, having certain skills have become vital not only to our individual success but as member of the work force also. Those so important skills are: science knowledge, proficiency in several languages and exposure to cultural diversity. The business community and especially those dealing in the nanotechnology sector are in need of employees with this kind of skills. These three skills are of sum importance for the nanotechnology industries to market products around the world and to work more efficiently with employees and partners in other countries. The International Nanoscience Community with more than five hundred members from all nationalities and cultural backgrounds is a prime example of those three important skills at work. This community can serve as a model of cooperation for government agencies and the private industry. Here we can support each other, ask questions, share information and more important help other members to thrive in the field of nanotechnology. Also as members of the International Nanoscience Community we are in the privileged position of providing an example to policy makers and educators from our respective nations about the importance of teaching science, languages and exposure to cultural diversity to the future generation of workers. So let’s take advantage of the benefits that the International Nanoscience Community is offering to us and help us to convert this community in a dynamic hub connecting leaders in the nanotechnology industries, government, education and financial sectors in order to advance and grow this field of science.
