1. Fabrication of functionalized nanostructures based on Carbon nanotubes and Graphene with polymers and immobilization of nanoparticles for biomedical and semiconductor applications and the basic understanding of the dispersion chemistry involved. 2. Functional nanomaterials, Nanoparticle assemblies, Nanocomposites: Synthesis and characterization for bio-sensing and imaging applications. 3. Immobilization of quantum dots onto the surface of Carbon based nanomaterials. 4. Functional surfaces, (micro and nanoscale patterning of polymer thin films and metallic microstructures in thin films), colloidal superstructures, polymer and metal nanoparticle immobilizations. 5. Synthesis and surface Functionalization of magnetic nanoparticle with biocompatible surface for biomedical applications.
