Subject: debate in the Assembly - your expert paper
Dear Ms Feitshans, dear Ilise,
Please find enclosed a link to the Parliamentary Assembly’s press release on the report voted in the Assembly last Friday on Mr Sudarenkov’s report on
“Nanotechnology: balancing benefits and risks to public health and the environment”, which was largely based on your expert paper (accessible via the same link).
http://assembly.coe.int/ASP/NewsManager/EMB_NewsManagerView.asp?ID=...
As you will have heard on the day – it was a great pleasure to have you present in Strasbourg, as always - , Mr Sudarenkov mentioned your contribution in the debate, thanking you for it.
For the provisional record of the proceedings, please click on the following link:

The Recommendation has been addressed to the Committee of Ministers, which now has six months to reply. In general, the Committee of Ministers consults its specialised committees first (in this case, DH-Bio).
I will not fail to keep you informed of developments.
Yours sincerely,
Tanja Kleinsorge

you may wish to read the Council of Europe report regarding nanotechnology (text reprinted below) entitled,
Nanotechnology: balancing benefits and risks to public health
and the environment
Only the provisional version has been published so far (see link below). The final version is due to be published before the end of January. This report was accepted by the Committee and will now move forward in the Council of Europe process. The next step means that this report will be debated by the full Parliamentary Assembly in Strasbourg France, tentatively scheduled for April 26 2013. Stakeholders and constituents may wish to attend the debates or offer comments.
Please use this version, as it is the only one publicly available for now. My name is first mentioned on page 2, and this will normally stay the same also for the final version, because it is referenced under the Parliamentary Member who ist he Rapporteur.
