Abstract:
PbS has been the foundation of recent efforts to create infrared photodetectors with high sensitivity, broad spectral coverage, simple integration, and inexpensive costs. We provide a thorough structural and optical characterization along with a description of the PbS based photodetector manufacture process. Investigations into photosensing performance are done in relation to voltage bias, intensity i.e. optical power and filters. Additionally, the device's stability over time was assessed. The studied material synthesis and fabrication strategies are suitable for use as low-cost NIR photodetectors because of their overall performance at low voltage bias and their ease of manufacture.
