The effect of nitrogen atmospheric of Kesterite as hole extraction by one-step heating on the performance of perovskite solar cells

Besides perovskite crystallization, the hole transport layer (HTL) for inverted perovskite solar cells plays an important role in charge transportation regulation (PSCs). By one-step heating as HTL in an air (O2) and nitrogen (N2) environment, we demonstrate effective p-i-n PSCs based on solid solution-coating Kesterite Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS). The spin-coating procedure has been fine-tuned to create CZTS-HTL with the required phase purity and film coverage. Photoluminescence (PL) studies demonstrate that the CZTS-HTL based on N2 extracts holes more efficiently than the O2 environment. For CZTS-HTL based inverted PSC, the N2 annealing environment provides a significant power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 13.95 percent, compared to 9.43 percent for air-annealed devices.
