The workshop will start with an overview about the European nanotechnology roadmap. The presentation offers deep insights towards the different value chains and include the latest feedback of Europen industries for a fast implementation of research results.
Speakers from industry and academia will present case studies and will show how nanotechnologies will have an important role particular for classical industries will be shown by case studies in a wide range of industries.

Communication and education are essential basics for any technology break through. How Europe is able to attract and develop multi skilled scientists with an entrepreneurial spirit will set the framework for success stories also in the field of Nanotechnologies.

Moreover, history taught us that technology acceptance need involvement of the public at earliest stage, thus, all is about answering needs and respect environment, particular health and security aspects.

This workshop will present an overview about latest developments in education and communication, including main findings from projects dealing with transversal nano issues from different perspectives:
industry and education, gender and science careers, channels of debate, evaluation of the outreach, dialogue, or public engagement.
