This year the fifth annual Nanotechnology Summer School will focus on applications of nanotechnologies in medicine and healthcare, reflecting growing interest in the subject and the University of Oxford's position at the cutting-edge of research and development. Comprising presentations from leading researchers and practitioners from the University of Oxford and beyond, the Nanomedicine Summer School is essential for anyone with an interest in these topics.

This five-day intensive course provides a thorough overview of the exciting and emerging discipline of nanomedicine. It covers all aspects of the subject including diagnostics, therapeutics, biosensors and nanotechnologies for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Each day focuses on one aspect of nanomedicine and is led by key researchers in the field. The course will be valuable to those seeking an introduction to current research and applications in the subject.

The Summer School programme is as follows:

  • 1 July 2013: Introduction to Nanomedicine: Challenges and Opportunities
  • 2 July 2013: Nanotechnologies for Regenerative Medicine & Tissue Engineering
  • 3 July 2013: Nano-Diagnostics
  • 4 July 2013: Nano-Biosensors
  • 5 July 2013: Nano-Pharmaceuticals

Delegates are able to enrol for one day, more than one day or for the whole week - discounts are offered for students and those enrolling for all five days.
