Nanotech Insight (NTI), scheduled for February 27-March 2, 2011 in Cairo, Egypt, will provide a look at the latest trends and discoveries in nanoscience. The conference will feature keynote lectures from some of the worldʼs leading speakers in the field. They will discuss the international nanotech industry with the latest practical developments, as well as the technological, scientific and social aspects of nanometer scale systems. Distinguished expert speakers with extensive backgrounds from the global nanotechnology community will share their research with industry executives. Previous speakers included Chad Mirkin (Northwestern University, USA), Wilheim Huck (University of Cambridge, UK), Paul Hansma (U. California, Santa Barbara) and Hari Manoharan (Stanford University, USA), among others. NTI 2011 will feature an introductory lecture on water opportunities for nanotechnology in the Middle East in addition to lectures on the topics listed below: Energy Water Electronics Optics Nanomedicine Magnetism Nanofabrication Characterization and manipulation Nano Ethics / Environmental Impact Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Mottaleb, Chairman of SabryCorp, the organizer of the event, reports that the event ʻwill offer a forum for both scientific discussions and networking in order to forge lasting global partnershipsʼ. He adds that the cost-saving and ecological benefits of these new materials enable nanotechnology ʻto play a significant role in the future of both developed and developing nationsʼ.
