The third NanoAfrica Conference will be held at the CSIR International Convention Centre www.csiricc.co.za), Pretoria, South Africa, from 1 – 4 February 2009. Two conferences were successfully hosted in 2004 and 2006 respectively in Cape Town, South Africa. NanoAfrica 2009 is jointly organising by the South African Nanotechnology Initiative (SANi) and the CSIR’s National Centre for Nano-Structured Materials (NCNSM) in association with Department of Science and Technology. NanoAfrica2009 will focus on the following leading areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology: Novel nanomaterials synthesis Advanced nano-structured materials Nanotechnology and health/water/energy/textiles Nanomaterials characterisation and metrology The conference will provide a forum for local as well as international students, researchers, technologists and entrepreneurs to interact on the latest developments and future trends in the multidisciplinary area of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Plenary and keynote lectures, by leading international scientists and invited talks, contributed oral and poster presentations will offer delegates a good opportunity to learn about the latest research developments in this diverse field.
