The meeting will focus on bioanalytical and nanophotonic applications of plasmonic effects at nanoscale metal structures, utilizing the phenomenon of localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). This includes e.g. phenomenon occuring at molecular components due to local field enhancement effects, interactions with fluorescent dyes, sub-wavelength apertures as well as comparisons of simulations with experimental results.
