In the United States, new chemical reform legislation in Congress has a "nano-clause". Europe is already addressing nanoscale commercial products through REACH. Health Canada and the European Commission are seeking to define the term "nanomaterial". Is there any attempt at coordination and is harmonization a realistic objective?
