The first INASCON conference was held in Silkeborg, Denmark in 2007. From that day, the conference has been arranged 11 times, and now it is time for the 12th annual International, Nanoscience Student Conference. From the 7th to the 10th of August 2018, it is held in Trondheim, Norway at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology´s facilities. There will be great speakers, some of which are students on bachelor, master’s or PhD degree. This year, the conference will have some features reminding those of a scientific festival. There will be a spectacular opening ceremony, social events in the evenings, workshops, some popular scientific performances and a gala dinner to close the conference. The INASCON 2018 conference aims to achieve three main goals:
- Convey knowledge and create interests for the technologies of tomorrow
- Encourage those with innovative ideas who venture to make modern technology a pillar for a sustainable future.
- Create networks between research groups, students and industry to promote national and international cooperation.
In other words, we aim to reach students with a strong mind to see new opportunities in an ever-growing technology and participate in developing in this technology though international cooperation.
