The objective of the Egypt Core Group In Chemistry is to bring about critical changes and to improve the quality of work and efficiency of the system in Academic Linkages collaboration, Resource sharing and interactions between academic institutions. Due to The quality of teaching as well as research in these institutions is far below the international standards. For the remediation of this existing the improvements in teaching and research of basic sciences in the country is urgent demand.Top experts in various basic science disciplines formed Egypt chemistry Core Groups, which will give the task of devising mechanisms to bring about the improvements. Consequently a ECCG is constituted in Life Sciences.Broadly speaking the main objective of ECCG is:Promotion of teaching and research in Life Sciences in Egypt.Improvement of the quality of Chemistry teaching in universities in Egypt.Identification of areas in Life Sciences which have a direct and major impact on the economy well being of the country.Preparation of many projects in these areas.Human resource development in Life Sciences in Egypt.Promotion of the Chemical Sciences in Egypt.Identification of frontier areas in the field of Chemistry, and developing projects in these areas by competent persons.Manpower development in key areas of Chemistry and chemical engineering.
