Chalmers (in Sweden) and Delft (in the Netherlands) are the top nano schools in Europe.

If you are interested in a specific subject, then I would recommend going through the top-cited articles on that subject and check from which universities those most cited authors are from.

  • There is quite a good list on my site Nanovip - http://www.nanovip.com/node/53945
  • I am working on an undergraduate degree in nanotechnology at Louisiana Tech University which is located in the southern United States. The curriculum is very diverse, and we are required to receive a minor in physics or an engineering discipline; chemical, mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or microsystems. Graduate and Doctoral degrees are also available. Pennsylvania State offers a minor in nano, and I read that the University of California, Berkely is now offering a minor in nano through it's materials engineering department. If you visit my facebook group, "Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit, A Global Nanotechnology Initiative", you will find many links to university news and resources concerning nano science and engineering. Just a few more that come to mind are University of Texas at Dallas and Austin. Also Michigan State and the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany, New York. CNSE is the first institution dedicated solely to nanotechnology.
  • Dhiraj-
Did you reference my page and blog, as advised? I provided several links to very specific resources, even India/Canada nano-specific awards. Supplied by me, furthermore, is the link to the International Funding Guide...(with A-Z listings). A very cursory glimpse a moment ago showed many Australian awards, on just the first page. Did you even take a look? Dollars are dwindling; diligence is called for, not whining. (with all due respect)
  • If any one can help then please to mail about the Sep. 2009 Ph.D position in Nanobiotechnology, Nanomedicine, Synthesis of Nanomaterials for Biomedical/Biological application With funds... on dhiraj.nanobio@gmail.com
  • There are many universities in UK and Australia, But the main problem is funding for research. Even I have offers from so many Universities from UK and Australia.. but no one is having fund... complete list of departments and labs can be check on http://www.nanowerk.com/nanotechnology/research/universities_c.php
  • Please refer to my December 2008 response to Madhu on study and funding opportunities in Canda, the Americas, Australia, Europe, Asia MidEast, New Zealand. Also, refer to my blog (Kanada's Kids) for information re certificate programmes at University of Oxford and Harvard.
  • Thanks David for informations!

  • Drexel University has a very new state of the art nanoplex (nanotechnology complex). it is huge and also consist of an addition facility or two within the Drexel system. also the research center is closely affiliated with Penn State University. Rice University is par excellence. Of course Stanford University on West Coast of US. Louisiana State University offers up to a Masters Degree I believe. Florida State University. I notice someone has already listed Georgia Institute of Technology thru Georgia Tech. Duke University is doing some great work in metamaterials. If possible one might wish to explore IEEE online for some others both on campus and online. In fact in US a few, maybe about 9 to 12, community colleges are beginning to offer an Associates Degree whereby credits can be transferred to a 4 yr institution.
