My research field or area of interest innanotechnology

My research expertise/interest includes synthesis, processing and characterization of advanced functional materials like metal oxides including ferroelectric and multiferroics (nano powders, ceramic targets, thin films) using chemical (spin casting, sol gel, dip coating, solid state reaction etc.), physical techniques (PLD, thermal and e-beam evaporation, rf/magnetron sputtering) and different furnaces (gas, vacuum, microwave etc.). I have investigated the effect of site doping, oxygen deposition pressure and artificial multilayer engineering on different ferroic orders and structural transformation/morphology of multiferroic functional materials using various characterizations tools including XRD, optical spectroscopy (Raman, Uv-visible and FT-IR, XPS), TEM, force microscopy (AFM/PFM/MFM), dielectric/ferroelectric tester, Keithley Electrometer (4200SCS) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer.

Interest in...

Future research interest in synthesis and spectroscopic/morphologic characterization of different functional semiconductor nano structures and polymer based multiferroic systems being utilized for different applications including photovoltaics, magnetoelectric and magnetoptical devices
