  The facts are that methanol (wood alcohol) is common in many foods and beverages and in homes and industries, and that the Woodrow C. Monte paradigm shows it is actually far more toxic to humans than any other creature, as the ADH1 enzyme makes it right into uncontrolled free floating formaldehyde right inside the cells of 20 specific tissues.  The formaldehyde immediately becomes highly reactive acidic formaldehyde hydrate with OH radicals on left and right side of the molecule, and so bonds firmly with the nearest DNA, RNA, and huge protein molecules, impairing cellular biochemistry, mutating the genes, and causing cell death.

  But, drinking many times a day causes the liver to eliminate ethanol much faster, reducing the duration of ethanol in the blood, and so increasing the harm caused by formaldehyde.
