My research field or area of interest innanotechnology

I did Ph.D work on the biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles and its various application. My research interested is aimed at biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles and its characterization using several biophysical techniques. Investigation of cytotoxicity and the antifungal activity of the synthesized nanoparticles and the mechanism behind it. Besides, the study of interactions between biomolecules such as protein (Bovine serum albumin), DNA (Calf thymus DNA) and amino acids (Tryptophan, Tyrosine, and Phenylalanine) with biosynthesized nanoparticles using multi-spectroscopic approach, viscometric study. Study on interaction between different organic synthetic compounds and bovine serum albumin using spectroscopic and docking method. Now in my postdoctoral research work, I have involved in redox active conducting polymer and its application in resistive memory devices and also the chemical synthesis of metallic nanomaterials/nanohybrid materials and its application. Synthesis and characterization of different nanomaterials. Research Exposure: Work Area:  Biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles (silver, gold, cadmium sulfide) and their characterization using different biophysical and biochemical techniques.  Biological activity of nanoparticles as an antimicrobial agent, and study of the effect of nanoparticles on fungi, bacterial cell, and human cell line.  Investigation of interaction between metallic nanoparticles and biomolecules (Protein, DNA) by different spectroscopic techniques.  Investigation of interaction between organic synthetic compounds and biomolecules (Protein, DNA) by different spectroscopic techniques and docking method.  Synthesis of conducting polypyrrole-metal oxide (V2O5, TiO2, Fe3O4, ZnO) nanocomposite: a study of structural, optical and electrical properties.  Synthesis of metallic nanoparticles (Ag, Au) using plant extract and synthesis of CdS quantum dots.  Synthesis and characterization of silicon nanowire using metal-induced etching. Academic Skills and Merits: · Knowledge about handling instruments like Absorption spectrophotometer, Spectrofluorimeter, Dynamic light scattering (DLS) instrument, Zeta potential measurement, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Circular Dichroism (CD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), pH Meter, Cold Centrifuge, Table top centrifuge, Light Microscope, SDS-PAGE, Ultrasonicator, Fluorescence microscope, Laminar, Viscometer, Lyophilizer, Hydraulic Press, Spin Coater etc. also worked in Thermogravimetric analysis, Raman Spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). · Knowledge of handling Fungal and bacterial culture, Biosynthesis of Nanomaterials, Intracellular Enzyme assay (Thiol content, Catalase activity, Lipid peroxidation assay, Nitrate Reductase, Protein content etc.), Extraction of total protein and DNA from fungal species, synthesis of CdS quantum dots. · Knowledge about Auto dock, Raswin, Discovery digital studio, Chem-sketch software for doing Auto dock of small molecule and Protein, K2D software (For estimation of protein secondary structure from CD spectra), Match Software (for phase identification from powder diffraction data). · Knowledge of Origin, MS Office, Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint. · Patient learner, regular and honest.
