Sukrut Somani obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University in 2010. He pursued his MSc in Drug Delivery at The School of Pharmacy, University of London (now UCL School of Pharmacy) where he did his research project entitled "In vitro cytotoxicity of nano-constructs on erythrocytes" under the supervision of Prof Kostas Kosterelos in 2011. He joined SIPBS as Research Assistant in 2012 for working with Dr Christine Dufès under a project entitled “Evaluation of novel non-viral gene delivery system for brain targeting by intravenous administration”. Along with working as a Research Assistant, he is also pursuing his PhD. His research interests include gene therapy, brain targeting, viral & non-viral drug and gene delivery, drug targeting, nanotoxicology and cancer research
