Interest in...
1. Synthesis of novel catalytic materials and their characterization: influence of preparation parameters on the properties of catalysts; structural and textural characterization of catalysts; application of different spectral techniques for surface and bulk analysis; structure-property relationship in catalysis. 2. Developing in-situ spectroscopic characterization techniques. 3. Development of novel organic-inorganic hybrid materials for gas storage applications. 4. Heterogeneous catalysis: Selection and design of catalysts for different applications: The role of metal, support and promoters. 5. Catalysis: Vapor phase reactions (alkylation, dehydration and oxidative dehydrogenation reactions). Liquid phase reactions (acylation, alkylation, condensation). Photocatalysis. 6. Synthesis, characterization and catalytic activity of mesoporous MCM-41, MCM-48, SBA-1, SBA-15 and KIT-6 materials. 7. Synthesis of mesoporous carbon (CMK-3) and carbon nanotube using mesoporous materials.
