Polymer thin films preparation and characterization, Organic thin films based devices (OFETs, OPVs), Inorganic Photovoltaic devices, Thin film morphology, Wet Chemical analysis, Electrochemistry, Surface modification (surface grafting, electro-deposition, self assembled monolayers), Materials structure/property relationships by means of various available surface science techniques (XRD, XPS, AFM, SEM, UV, optical Microscopy).

a. Organic/Inorganic thin film based devices like Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) and Organic field effect transistors (OFETs), particularly on OPVs as a renewable energy source. b. Polymer nanostructured thin films (diblock copolymers) morphological and structure-property characterization and interplay the change in surface morphology with swelling dynamics using state of the art techniques ellipsometry, atomic force microscopy, X-ray scattering methods. c. Hydrogen fuel cells
