  • greetings

I woiuld send an e-maill with all information about your work to Prof. Prashant Kamath at the Univ of Notredame for possible opportunities. He is an active scientist with good credentials

    good luck''Rao
  • Hi Prashant,

The Nanorite center is just getting started and most of the current customers are in either CNC Micromachining or MEMS, so it has more of a micro focus currently.

  • Hi Prahant,
At the moment our group has no vacanies, however you can check the website of our university on vacancies:
    http://www.utwente.nl/vacatures/en/
    Good luck!
  • Prashant,
The best way to find postdoctoral positions relating to nanobiotechnology at Johns Hopkins University would be to go to our website http://inbt.jhu.edu and on the left click on Affiliated Faculty. From there you can search for faculty working in your areas of interest. Then send an email to that professor to find out about postdocs or other work available. We have many faculty working in the areas you listed as of interest to you. Since you are not a US citizen, there may be some things you do not qualify for. But I am sure there are some that you do. Best wishes!
  • Dr. Kumar,

Unfortunately I have no funds to support a postdoc at this time. Best of luck in your search.

    John Simonsen
  • I will keep my eyes open for post doc positions that fit your qualifications.
  • Dear Dr. Prashant Kumar,
I confirm receiving your message. Please, see my short profile:
Prof. Oleg L. Figovsky is the founder, Director R&D of International Nanotechnology Research Centre “Polymate”, where he is carrying now many research works in nanostructured corrosion resistant composite materials and protective coatings based on polymer and silicate matrix. In 1982 he elaborated the first nanostructured anticorrosion composite materials based LG-matrix, where nanoparticles are forming during technological process by hydrolysis of TFS. Last his elaborations are nanostructured nonisocyanate polyurethanes, nanocellulose and composites receiving by SDP method. Prof. Figovsky is director R&D of Germany company “EFM GmbH” (Berlin) that are producing many nanocomposite materials based mainly on nonisocyanate polyurethane and liquid polybutadiene matrix and director of the Belgium company ALTA - TECH NV, manufacturing novel nanocomposite foam-sealants for Military & Civil Engineering. He is also the President of IAI (Israel), member of European Academy of Sciences, Foreign Members of two Russian Academies of Sciences (REA & RAASN), the chairman of the UNESCO chair “Green Chemistry”. For few of his inventions in nanotechnologies he received gold and silver medals at the IENA-98 (Nurnberg, Germany). From 1999 he is the editor-in-chief of the journal “Scientific Israel – Technological Advantages” and from 2004 – the editor of the international journal “Alternative Energy & Ecology”. In 2006 he received the Gold Angel Prize at the “Genious-2006” exhibition and in 2007 NASA Nanotech Briefs®’ Nano 50™ Award, Prof. Figovsky was many times keynote lecturers, including for National Investment Banking Association (see at: http://www.nibanet.org/Figovsky-slideshow.html ). He is a chairman for a lot of international congresses and conferences, including the Risk Assessment Nanotechnology NATO workshop in St. Petersburg (see at: http://www.spbcas.ru/nanobio/arw/index.html ). For last ten years prof. Figovsky is a chief adviser for many investment institutions (US company – Eurotech, Ltd., Global Matrechs, Inc., NanoTech Investment, Inc. and the CITY bank). Prof. Figovsky is the honorary professor of Voronezh SAS University. Prof. Oleg L. Figovsky has more than 500 patents and has published and lectured extensively. He is an author of the Encyclopedia of Surface and Colloid Science, I & II editions (see at: http://www.dekker.com/sdek/issues~db=enc~content=t713172975 ).
In 2008 prof. Figovsky was a chairman at the symposium “Composites and Nanocomposites Prepared by the Super Deep Penetration Method”, during the "International Conference on “Multi-functional Materials and Structures” on 28 – 31 July 2008, in Hong Kong SAR China.- website: http://www.nanochina.cn/english/index.php?option=content&task=v... and a chairman at the symposium “Environment Friendly Nanotechnologies” during the NATO workshop “Environmental and Biological Risks of Nanobiotechnology, Nanobionics and Hybrid Organic-Silicon Nanodevices (Silicon vs Carbon) on 18–20 June in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2008 prof. Figovsky was elected as a first vise-president of World Congress of Russian-speaking Jewry.
