Abstract: Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) belongs to family cucurbitaceae and genus cucumis. It is cultivated around the globe. In present research work 25 accessions of cucumber were evaluated to find out their similarities and differences based on physiological traits like photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance and leaf temperature. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications. Physiological traits of genotypes were measured with help of IRGA (Infrared Gas Analyzer). Data showed great variations for almost all the physiological traits. Maximum photosynthetic rate (4.675 μmol/m2/s) was observed in genotype 32805 and (4.614 μmol/m2/s) in genotype 35833 while minimum photosynthetic rate (1.400 μmol/m2/s) was observed in genotype 3428 and (1.345 μmol/m2/s) in genotype 35830. Maximum stomatal conductance was (0.035 μmol/m2/s) observed in genotype 32805 and (0.06 μmol/m2/s) in genotype 35833 while minimum stomatal conductance (0.055 μmol/m2/s) was observed in genotype 3428 and (0.06 μmol/m2/s) in genotype 35830. Similarly, Maximum transpiration rate (4.465 μmol/m2/s) was observed in genotype 32805 and (4.275 μmol/m2/s) in genotype 35833 while minimum was (1.465μmol/m2/s) in genotype 3428 and 35830. Leaf temperature was observed 32± 2°C in all genotypes. Present findings are applicable in cucumber cultivation in Faisalabad and other areas with similar climatic conditions. This will intern help to improve the economic return and revenue generation of the farmers.
