The Department of Physical Chemistry is seeking for a committed physical chemist for the position of a university assistant ('prae doc') in the working group "Physical Chemistry and Nanotechnology of Interfaces".

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week.
Occupation group in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc).
On top of this relevant chargeable work experience determines the assessment to a particular salary grade.

Areas of work:
Your area of responsibility is the collaboration in independent teaching duties of the Department of Physical Chemistry including examination activities due to extent regulations of the wage agreement, and the independent performance of ultrashort pulse laser experiments including their interpretation and documentation. The possibility of preparing a doctoral dissertation is provided. Contributions to research projects, scientific studies, publications, and the organisation of conferences and symposia are expected.

Profile:
You are a graduate (MSc) of chemistry with emphasis in physical chemistry.
You have experience with the setup and performance of pulse-laser and interfacial physical experiments.
A sound knowledge and experience in measurement and control software development (LabVIEW) and scientific data analysis (OriginLab, OriginPro) are beneficial.
